Week 32

This picture was taken today by the sweet lady that did my growth and organ check ultrasound.  All of her organs are developed and normal aaaaaaaaaaaand she apparently weighs approximately 4 pounds, 10 ounces. 75th percentile for size. Yeah.  My doctor looked at her stats and said,"Wow, that's impressive!"  Don't get me wrong.  I'm ALL for having a healthy baby, but I am not trying to have a ten pound baby.  But, again, I am very grateful and happy that she's healthy and everything looks good at this point.  We had a bit of a scare last week when I got a bad stomach bug and ended up dehydrated and in the hospital with contractions.  Thankfully, we're both all better now and my blown vein is slowly healing...shout out to my veins for being consistantly crappy!  So, next week starts my weekly checkups where we monitor her.  Yay!  The finish line is near! Which is good because let me tell you, getting out of bed now is BAD.  And I will sit there and contemplate if something is worth picking up for a good two minutes to decide if it's worth the attempt of bending over, haha.  But, I am completely enamoured with this little girl and cannot wait to meet her.

Week 28

Week 28 developments: Apparently Caroline weighs 2 and a quarter pounds now, about the size of a head of Chinese cabbage, as pictured above and she is about 15" long. She can open and close her eyes now, which apparently have grown lashes this week. Her main upcoming developments will be growing her brain and adding some body fat to her little body. I had an appointment yesterday where they made me take the glucose test (gross) and gave me a Rhogam shot since I have negative blood and Seth has positive blood. This shot will prevent us from attacking each other while she's in there since there's a possibility that she'll have positive blood as well. The doctor listened to her heartbeat (normal as usual) and apparently she didn't like the monitoring device much because she kept kicking it off before the doctor could get a reading. So, I suppose this could be an indication that she'll be strong-willed like me...ohhh boooy. I can tell how big and strong she's getting because you can see my entire stomach move when she kicks/elbows/rolls. Seth felt it last night and he still says it's got to be me doing that with my stomach because he can't believe such a tiny baby can make that much movement. I just laugh and shake my head and say,"Oh you just wait and SEE what this tiny baby is capable of." We attended our Epidural Class (score) and Birthing Class this week. The Birthing Class came with a "baby manual" as Seth refers to it. A book on delivery and the first few weeks of taking care of a newborn. And they made us watch a "natural" delivery and a c-section delivery. He handled that better than me, but I think that's because he won't be the one actually doing those things. I've decided to go with the NO mirror option in the delivery room, thankyouverymuch.
So, those are our only updates for this week. I'll be going to visit Siobhan this weekend in Fort Walton for her birthday, so I might sneak in some pregnant pictures. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Crafting Weekend

My mom came to visit this weekend, so we worked on craft projects for the nursery and to give the house a more Fall feel to it....even if it does not currently feel like fall outside.

The alligator that Seth picked out at Ikea for Caroline..

I made the wreath pretty cheaply with supplies from the Dollar Store..

The mini-table runner I made. I just bought a piece of vinyl fabric from Hobby Lobby and glued the leaves from the Dollar Store around the edges.

Helllooooo 3rd Trimester!

Well, not quite, but ALMOST. This is my 27th week and last week of my second trimester. Apparently this week, my sweetheart weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14.5 inches long. Babycenter.com sends me weekly e-mails to inform me of this and always compares her to vegetables. So, right now she weighs the equivalent of a head of cauliflower. (gross) She's very active during the day and continues to sit on my bladder. So, one swift kick and I literally run to the nearest bathroom. Hopefully people see the belly and don't just think I'm crazy. This weekend mom's coming to visit and I'm hoping to get some decorating done for her room. I'll post pictures of that later. I'm still contemplating getting the 3D ultrasound. It's a little pricey, but it would be worth it to see her cute little face. That's all the updates for this week, folks!
